Halloween is around the corner, and the only time when minimalism takes a back seat. It’s the time to be full-on spooky like Heidi Klum and bring all the drama without judgment and side-eyes.
Here are Halloween costumes from celebrities all over the world that stood out over the years.
1. Kendall Jenner as Pamela Anderson (Barb Wire)

In 2020, Kendall Jenner dressed as Pamela Anderson’s character from the 1996 cult classic movie Barb Wire for Halloween.
The Look was a black leather corset and bustier paired with fishnet stockings and matching thigh-high boots.
She paired the look with sheer opera-length gloves featuring barbed-wire bracelets and a temporary barbed-wire bicep tattoo.
The hair was big, wavy blonde, while her makeup look was the famous pencil-thin 90s eyebrows, bright blue eyeshadow, and a nude glossy lip.
She captioned the Official Instagram Post with Anderson’s famous line, “Don’t call me babe”.
2. Cardi B as Medusa
Cardi B had the best Halloween costume in 2020. She dressed up as the Greek goddess Medusa and instantly gagged when she shared the photos.

The look featured detailed golden snakes protruding from her hair, a matching gold-plated bra, choker, bangles, long golden nails, and a V-shaped belt.

She also had a huge, scale-clad, six-foot reptilian lower body that, at first, many people thought was edited or CGI.
3. Lizzo as Baby Yoda 2021
Lizzo took spooky to the next level when she dressed up as Grogu, aka Baby Yoda, a character from the Star Wars Disney+ original television series The Mandalorian.
She looked unrecognizable as she attended Spotify’s Ghost Town Halloween Party in West Hollywood. She later shared a behind-the-scenes video of how she achieved the look.

Megan Thee Stallion stunned in her Halloween costume, going as Pinhead from the 1987 horror movie “Hellraiser.” The Halloween 2021 look featured needles sticking out of her head, with all-white body paint.

Cardi B went all spooky for her Halloween costume in 2021, dressing up as the sultry Morticia Addams from ‘The Addams Family.’
6. Cardi B as “The Simpsons” character Marge Simpson 2022

In 2022, Cardi B decided to bring colour and fun to her Halloween costume by dressing up as Marge Simpson from The Simpsons.
Marge is the wife of Homer Simpson and the mother of Bart, Lisa, and Maggie Simpson. She is known for her very tall blue hair, which is shaped into a beehive.

8. Cardi B as Scarlet Witch 2020

Cardi B’s other look for 2020 Halloween was cute and fun compared to the spooky Medusa costume. She dressed up as Scarlet Witch from Marvel.
She wore a plunging red latex corset with matching red thigh-high boots and the signature Wanda’s iconic M-shaped headpiece.

She wore a sleek, strapless red dress, long purple gloves, and dangling diamond earrings. She completed the look with red lipstick, purple eye shadow, and a tiny gem painted under one eye.
Cardi also opted for some voluminous bright red curls to match the character’s hairstyle.

In 2018, Heidi Klum dressed as Fiona while her boyfriend Tom Kaulitz dressed up as Shrek.
The two went all out with full-body prosthetics. She went barefoot and wore a green dress with gold embroidery, with Fiona’s signature red hair and a tiara.
Her boyfriend wore a baggy T-shirt and tights with protruding ears. The two were so similar to the characters that you wouldn’t recognize them as individuals.
12. Anok Yai as Avatar (Na’vi)

Supermodel Anok Yai never misses when it comes to Halloween costumes. She transformed into a Na’vi warrior from James Cameron’s Avatar universe for Halloween.
The look featured vibrant blue skin tones, signature white bioluminescent facial dots and patterns, striking yellow-gold eye accents, and protruding ears inspired by the movie’s characters.
13. Chloe Bailey as Storm (X-Men)

Chloe Bailey dressed up as Storm (Ororo Munroe) from X-Men in Halloween 2022. She has actively voiced her interest in playing Storm in a movie, as she mentioned that she is her favourite superhero.

Halle Bailey dressed up as the legendary actress Halle Berry for her 2024 Halloween costume. She drew inspiration from Halle Berry’s character as Jinx in the 2002 film Die Another Day.
Halle wore a sexy orange bikini accessorized with a belt sheath and a wavy pixie cut wig to look like Halle Berry in her James Bond era. She did her Halloween photoshoot against a beach backdrop and struck a badass pose just like a scene in the film.
